NINA DONOVAN TALKS FEMINISt POETRY
VICE // PRODUCER
Nina Donovan is a 19-year-old poet who recently penned the explosive “Nasty Woman” poem performed by actress, and activist, Ashley Judd at the Women’s March in Washington DC.
The poem takes on everything from women's rights, to immigration issues, to racial equality under the new Trump Administration. The piece has quickly gained international attention while also sparking widespread controversy for suggesting incestuous relations between President Trump and his daughter, Ivanka Trump.
Broadly met up with Donovan in her hometown of Franklin, Tennessee to talk about the inspiration behind this momentous poem, and how it's become somewhat of a rallying cry for the feminist movement under President Trump.
